Once upon a time in Paris…

Hello loves!

Our European adventure finished in my favorite city, Paris!

Paris is one of the most romantic places in the world. This was my third time in Paris but this trip was particularly special experiencing the city with my family.

Sofitel Paris Baltimore Tour Eiffel

We stayed at the Sofitel Paris Baltimore Tour Eiffel hotel located on Avenue Kléber. The Sofitel Baltimore is situated within walking distance to the most beautiful districts of Paris, close to the Champs Elysees, the Arc de Triomphe and the Eiffel Tower. Our room was a dream! We had a big corner room with a beautiful wrapping balcony with a Tour Eiffel view.

We spent 4 days in Paris but it never feels like enough time for me.

Our first day started in a cute little cafe by the hotel with croissants and coffee. As it was Juliette and Chris’ first time in Paris, we went to see the most famous landmarks – Paris Museum De Louvre, Jardin du Palais Royal and Eiffel Tower. Juliette really enjoyed dancing on columns at the Palais Royal. The courtyard consists of 280 black and white striped truncated columns. She was climbing up and down nonstop the whole time and dancing on top of them. We spend an hour enjoying the grounds and taking in the views. My superstar got so many compliments and was really happy to be a center of attention. As the evening came, we walked to see Eiffel Tower. We had reservations for dinner in Girafe restaurant which has one of the best views of the Tour Eiffel. Everything was perfect about this place – gorgeous view, amazing atmosphere, beautiful people and delicious food. It is definitely a place I recommend when you are in Paris! Girafe is an elegant, classy place with excellent seafood and stylish interior. Service is also very good.

After breakfast on our second day, we went for walk from our hotel to Champs Elysees and the Arc de Triomphe. We stopped by Pierre Hermé to get some macaroons. Pierre Hermé is one of the world’s most famous pastry chefs. They have the best macaroons I’ve ever tasted. They have so many interesting flavors. You should definitely try them when you are in Paris. For dinner, we had a reservation at Les Ombres restaurant with another epic view of the Tour Eiffel. The place was very quiet compared to Girafe. If you are looking for an intimate and romantic dinner with a view this place is a perfect choice.

Our third day started with a family photoshoot by the Tour Eiffel. It was my dream photoshoot. However, Juliette wasn’t excited about this part of the day. She was very distracted by the other people and excitement around her. I found a photographer on Instagram and booked a one hour photoshoot. We arrived at 9am and there was already a fair amount of people near the Eiffel Tower. If you can make it earlier, I suggest booking a photoshoot around 6-7am.

In the afternoon, we took a taxi to Basilique du Sacre-Coeur de Monmarte. Montmartre is full of charm with its cobbled streets, stunning Basilica, artists and bistros. We enjoyed a walk from the Basilique down the stairs. It’s convenient that Juliette loves stairs and walks. We didn’t take a stroller with us and walked around the area of a couple hours.

Our last day we enjoyed breakfast in a cute little cafe and walked to Arc de Triomphe and the Eiffel Tower. I always get a little bit sad the last day of vacation. The packing and flight home make me anxious and the flight always feels like eternity. Juliette is good at airports and on planes as long as it is a one flight destination.

The whole vacation was a dream even with a toddler. We didn’t use a babysitter. My husband and I felt more comfortable having her with us and we enjoyed experiencing the city as a family.

Juliette was good with our active and flexible schedule. We didn’t abide by a strict routine like we have at home. She would nap between 2 and 4pm and went to bed with us around 10 – 11pm at night. She was pretty good with late dinners and enjoyed the night life of Paris.

Thank you for reading!

XoXo
