Today’s post is about my lovely Baby Shower last weekend. It was such an amazing and fun day with my beautiful girlfriends. My girlfriend Ana prepared amazing invitations, gorgeous flowers, fun games and a lot of another surprises. It was a day I always hoped it would be. I was so happy! 🌸

I didn’t think a lot about the place for my baby and mom to be celebration. My husband and I frequently dine at Cast and Plow at the Ritz Carlton Marina Del Rey. It is a beautiful place in the marina with great views of the boats. It is also just 7 mins away from my place. We like to go there for breakfast or for brunch on the weekend so I decided it will be the perfect place for my baby shower.

I have 2 baby showers. One I did with my girlfriends on Sunday. And we will do another family one when my mom comes to visit us 2 weeks before my due day at the end of July. It will be literally 9 days before my due day. This day is coming and I still can’t believe that 9 months is almost over. I will see my angel soon.

I love the American tradition of having a baby shower with your family and friends before your due day. According to tradition, your sister or mom prepare your baby shower for you in their place or at a restaurant like a surprise party. My first baby shower was organized by my best girlfriend Ana. Baby shower is a way of celebrating the upcoming child birth by presenting gifts to the mother at a party.

And some details about my outfit. I looked a long time for a dress. I wanted to find a simple white dress which fit well and displayed my grown bump. It was such a mission. I checked all possible shops and I ordered a lot of dresses online in hope that one will fit well. All maternity dresses were big for me as usual and I returned them. Just two days before the baby shower I found my beautiful dress and choker from Asos. As accessories I chose a white fluffy clutch from BCBG and very comfy Jimmy Choo heels.
